About Madhavi Krevat
SECRETARY
Raleigh Boots On The Ground
Madhavi Krevat is the Secretary for BOOTS on the Ground Raleigh. She has worked on Gun Violence Prevention (GVP) with her BOOTS team – Leah, Gerald, and Tony – for more than five years.
Madhavi began her GVP work after the February 14, 2018 shooting in Parkland, Florida at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Her daughter, Leah, came to her after school and begged her to find a way for both to help end gun violence and stop the killing of innocents. They both hit the ground running and have not stopped.
Before joining BOOTS on the Ground Raleigh, Madhavi organized many meet-and-greets for local, state, and national politicians. In 2022, she and a small team of people organized a Wear Orange event in conjunction with the Raleigh, NC Mayor’s Office and the Raleigh Police Department. She tables at events and rallies and visits the North Carolina General Assembly often to lobby for GVP and Asian Americans.
Madhavi is an accomplished writer. She has two published books through a local company. She has a great love for astronomy and all things space. Her motto is: We are one planet, one people under the stars.
Get Involved
Violence prevention is not something that can be done by some of us. It has to be taken on head first by all of us. Get involved in a growing movement of dedicated volunteers that are constructing safer, healthier homes, schools, and communities for our children.
